Many times when we start to realize how far we have gone from the path of Allah, we start thinking of ways to change ourselves and our lives. But then when you just take probably the first baby step towards Allah, you feel suddenly the winds turn against you. Your own family and friends might become unfriendly or give comments on you and you wonder I just took the smallest, tiniest step and there is a whole road ahead to walk!
Well that's all part of the game! Find solace in the following words of the Prophet s.a.w: “Islam began as something strange and will revert to being strange as it began, so give glad tidings to the strangers.” (Muslim). Now it comes in other ahadith that number of Muslims will keep increasing near the end of times but this hadith says that Islam will become a stranger, so that naturally means that majority of the Muslims themselves will not be practicing and find teachings of the Deen as something 'weird' or 'outdated' or even at times 'news' that this act was even a part of the religion ever!
Yes it will be harder to act on the teachings of Deen as the end of the world is nearing! Yes you will have more opposition! Yes you will feel lonelier and lonelier the more you try to follow the Shariah...but on the flip side, you will have much greater rewards on those baby steps than our predecessors who could follow Deen easily, on the flip side you will have the qurb of Allah and the Prophet s.a.w in akhirah at an easier cost, you will be able to show to Allah on the Day of Judgment that you tried to go against the winds...on the flip side, you will be a winner not a loser insha'Allah!
But yes at the end of the day we are humans and will get hurt... use that broken heart to make sincere, heart-felt duas and you will see miracles in your life. Make dua that Allah grants you friends and company that help you get closer to Him, not far for Him and He will grant you friendship and bonds that will be much deeper than the latest cars and clothes, the coolest makeup and fancy hangouts, He might give you friends who might cry for you in tahajjud, He night send people in your life who would be as ready as Ansaar to sacrifice their dunya for your Deen, He might give you friends who might even remember you on the Day of Judgment and request for you to Allah!
For sure, you will be a winner, NOT a loser! Ever!
